    1) League identity and purpose

Dynasty X is a paid, year-round, superflex dynasty fantasy football league built for serious players who want clarity, structure, and a well-run league environment.

    4. Straightforward governance

    • Managers are expected to play to win within the rules at all times, even while rebuilding.
    • Payment and future-pick rules are designed to protect long-term league health.
    • Dynasty X is a commissioner-run product league, not a league-vote democracy.

If there is ever a conflict between Sleeper settings and this constitution, this constitution controls. All official deadlines and rulings are based on Eastern Time.

    2) League format and core settings

    • Regular season: Weeks 1-14
    • Playoffs: 4 teams
    • Week 15: Semifinals
    • Week 16: Championship and 3rd-place game

    Playoff seeding

The top 4 teams by regular-season record make the playoffs.

    Tiebreakers for playoff seeding:

    1. Total points for
    2. Head-to-head record, if applicable
    3. Max PF / potential points
    4. Random draw by commissioner

    FAAB

    • Seasonal FAAB budget: $200
    • FAAB resets each league year
    • Unused FAAB does not carry over
    • FAAB is not tradeable

Platform waiver settings may be adjusted for administration, but Dynasty X remains a FAAB league, and any material change will be posted before the season.

    3) Payouts

The current-year prize pool is based only on the current season’s 10 paid entries.

    Total annual prize pool

    $500

    1st place

    $300

    2nd place

    $125

    Regular-season points leader

    $75

Awarded to the team with the most total points scored during the regular season only, Weeks 1-14. If two or more teams tie, the payout is split evenly.

    Payout release

Payouts will be released through LeagueSafe after the championship is complete, scoring and stat corrections are final, and there are no unresolved payment or governance issues affecting the final standings.

Future-year dues are not part of the current-year prize pool.

    4) Startup draft rules

    Startup format

    • Slow draft
    • Snake format
    • 3rd-round reversal
    • Full player pool, including rookies
    • 8-hour pick timer
    • Overnight pause from 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM Eastern

    Startup eligibility

The startup draft begins only after all 10 teams are filled, all managers have accepted this constitution, and all managers have paid the required startup amount.

    Startup payment requirement

    • Year 1: $50
    • Year 2: $50
    • Total due before startup: $100

    Startup draft order

Startup draft order will be randomized publicly and posted before the draft begins.

    Trading startup picks

Startup picks become tradeable once the draft order has been posted. All startup pick trades must be processed in a way that is visible and trackable.

    Draft timer and missed picks

    • Managers are responsible for being available, setting a queue, or making arrangements if they will be away.
    • If a manager times out, the platform’s draft behavior controls the selection.
    • Any automatic pick made by the platform stands.
    • Subsequent picks are not reversed simply because a manager missed the clock.

The commissioner may pause the draft for a platform outage or obvious administrative problem, but not for ordinary manager absence.

    Startup rookies and taxi

Rookies selected in the startup draft are still considered rookies for taxi purposes and may be placed on taxi before the regular season begins if they otherwise qualify.

    5) Annual league calendar

Dynasty X is intended to operate year-round.

    1. Regular season and playoffs conclude
    2. Final regular-season Max PF is confirmed
    3. Lottery for 1.01 is conducted
    4. League renews in LeagueSafe for the next unpaid season
    5. Rookie draft order is finalized
    6. Rookie draft is held after the NFL Draft on the commissioner’s posted schedule
    7. Offseason trading and roster management continue year-round

The commissioner may publish an annual calendar each offseason. That calendar controls specific deadlines for that league year.

    6) Rookie draft rules

    Rookie draft format

    • 4-round rookie draft
    • Slow draft
    • 8-hour pick timer
    • Overnight pause from 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM Eastern

    Rookie-only pool

The rookie draft consists of incoming rookies only. Veterans are not part of the rookie draft because the startup draft already uses the full player pool.

    Rookie draft start date

The rookie draft begins on the date announced by the commissioner after the NFL Draft.

    Traded rookie picks

Rookie picks are fully tradeable subject to Dynasty X future-pick payment rules. Any rookie pick belongs to the franchise slot, not the original manager. If a pick has been traded, the current holder receives that pick.

    Missed rookie draft picks

    • Managers are responsible for staying active during the rookie draft.
    • If a manager times out, the platform’s timer behavior controls.
    • The resulting selection stands.
    • The draft does not roll back for manager absence.

    Undrafted rookies

After the rookie draft ends, all undrafted rookies enter waivers. They do not become immediate free agents and will be available through FAAB after the commissioner reopens post-draft waivers.

    7) Rookie draft order, Max PF, and the lottery

    Non-playoff teams

    The 6 non-playoff teams determine picks 1.01 through 1.06.

    Max PF backbone

Dynasty X uses Max PF / potential points as the foundation for non-playoff rookie draft order because it discourages lineup tanking while still allowing real rebuilding.

    • Max PF is measured over the regular season only, Weeks 1-14
    • Lower Max PF means the team was weaker
    • Weaker teams are rewarded with earlier rookie draft position, subject to the 1.01 lottery rule

    Official Max PF definition

Official Max PF is the platform’s regular-season potential points / max points for calculation unless the commissioner has to correct a clear platform issue.

In plain language, this is the total a team would have scored using its highest legal lineup each week based on its roster.

If a platform quirk creates an obvious exploit, the commissioner may apply a written correction consistent with the highest-legal-lineup standard.

    Ties in Max PF

    1. Worse regular-season record
    2. Lower actual points for
    3. Random draw by commissioner

    1.01 lottery structure

The bottom 4 non-playoff teams by Max PF enter a weighted lottery for the 1.01 only.

    • Lowest Max PF: 40%
    • 2nd-lowest Max PF: 30%
    • 3rd-lowest Max PF: 20%
    • 4th-lowest Max PF: 10%

    Assignment of 1.02 through 1.06

After 1.01 is awarded, picks 1.02 through 1.06 are assigned by Max PF order among the remaining non-playoff teams.

    Lottery procedure

The lottery will be conducted publicly after the regular season and after final stat corrections are complete. The commissioner will post the eligible teams and their weighted odds, conduct the official 1.01 draw using a draft selection randomizer, and post the final result on the league page.

The commissioner may also create and share a cinematic or edited video version of the lottery for entertainment purposes. Any such video is presentation only and does not alter, override, or replace the official randomizer result.

The lottery is tied to the franchise draft slot. If that pick has already been traded, the current holder receives the resulting selection.

    Playoff teams

    • 3rd-place game loser: 1.07
    • 3rd-place game winner: 1.08
    • Runner-up: 1.09
    • Champion: 1.10

    8) Taxi squad rules

    Taxi size and eligibility

    • 4 taxi spots per team
    • Rookies only

When players may be placed on taxi

Rookie-eligible players may be placed on the taxi squad during the offseason and preseason before the start of the regular season.

Once the regular season begins, new taxi placements are locked for that season.

    Promotions

Taxi players may be promoted to the active roster at any time.

    No return rule

Once a player is promoted from taxi to the active roster during a season, that player may not return to taxi during that same season. This rule is final and has no exceptions for ordinary lineup management.

    9) IR rules

IR spots may be used only for players with Sleeper-eligible IR status.

Managers may not stash ineligible players on IR.

If a player loses IR eligibility, the manager must correct the roster within a reasonable administrative window announced by the commissioner or before making any further lineup, waiver, or trade move that requires a legal roster.

    10) Trade rules and governance

    Trade philosophy

Dynasty X is built for active roster management and healthy trading. Trades are allowed year-round unless the commissioner announces a temporary administrative freeze.

    Review standard

Dynasty X uses commissioner review, not league vote.

A trade will be vetoed only for:

    • Collusion
    • A clear rules violation
    • A payment or future-pick violation
    • A provable platform or data-entry mistake confirmed by the involved parties
    • Obvious roster dumping tied to abandonment or bad-faith exit

Trades will not be vetoed for:

    • Uneven value
    • Rebuilding vs. contending disagreement
    • Public opinion
    • Trade calculators
    • “I wouldn’t have made that deal”

    Bad trades are not collusion.

    Trade processing

The commissioner will aim to review and process valid trades promptly, typically within 24 hours.

    Commissioner-involved trades

Any trade involving the commissioner’s own team will be reviewed by a designated neutral reviewer or deputy commissioner.

    Finality

Once a trade is processed, it is final unless there was a clear platform error, or both parties and the commissioner agree there was a provable administrative mistake before games lock.

    11) Future-pick trading rules

    General rule

Future rookie picks may be traded only if the manager trading that pick is already paid for that future season.

If you want to trade a future pick from a given season, you must first be fully paid through that season.

    Payment-before-trade rule examples

    • To trade a 2027 rookie pick, you must already be paid through 2027.
    • To trade a 2028 rookie pick, you must already be paid through 2028.

    No exceptions.

    Trade horizon

To reduce orphan risk and keep the league clean, Dynasty X allows trading rookie picks only for the current rookie draft, the next rookie draft, and the draft after that. In plain language, picks may be traded up to two future rookie classes ahead.

    No conditional pick structures

Dynasty X does not use conditional picks, pick protections, future considerations, or side agreements outside the platform and constitution.

If it cannot be stated clearly and enforced cleanly, it is not part of Dynasty X.

    Ledger control

LeagueSafe may hold money in a way that behaves like league-level funds, but Dynasty X operates with a commissioner-maintained payment ledger showing who is paid through which season. That ledger controls future-pick eligibility.

    12) Payment policy and LeagueSafe policy

    Official treasury

LeagueSafe is the official treasury for Dynasty X.

    • Transparent collections
    • Public payout structure
    • Visible season-by-season payment standard

    Startup payment policy

Before the startup draft, every manager must pay 2 years up front:

    • Current season
    • Next season
    • Total due at startup: $100

No manager enters the startup without being paid in full.

    Rolling renewal model

After startup, Dynasty X operates on a one-year-ahead rolling payment model. The league should always have each manager paid through at least the next season.

    • Startup: pay Year 1 and Year 2
    • Before the next rookie draft: pay Year 3
    • Before the following rookie draft: pay Year 4

    Annual renewal deadline

Each returning manager must pay the next unpaid season by the posted annual deadline, which will be no later than 7 days before the rookie draft.

    Non-payment consequences

    • Trade privileges may be frozen
    • Future-pick trading is not allowed
    • Rookie draft participation may be blocked
    • The commissioner may begin searching for a replacement owner

If a manager remains unpaid at the start of the rookie draft, that franchise may be replaced.

    Payout release method

LeagueSafe payouts should be released using a transparent approval method consistent with the posted league settings. Dynasty X will use majority approval unless the commissioner announces a different public release method before payments are collected.

    Refund policy

Dynasty X is not a casual drop-in league. Payment commits a manager to the operating structure below.

    Startup refunds

    • Before startup draft order is randomized: a manager who withdraws may be refunded once a replacement owner is secured, or immediately if the league does not launch.
    • After startup draft order is randomized: startup payments are locked and no refund is owed because the league structure and pick market have already been affected.

    Future-year refunds

A future-year payment may be refunded only if all of the following are true:

    • The manager has not traded any picks from that future season
    • The manager has not received assets in reliance on being paid for that future season
    • The commissioner has not yet opened that future league year’s rookie draft process
    • A replacement or clean exit can be completed without harming league integrity

Otherwise, prepaid funds stay attached to the franchise and may be used to secure a replacement owner.

    13) Orphan and replacement-owner policy

    Grounds for replacement

    • Non-payment
    • Abandonment
    • Repeated failure to set a legal lineup
    • Collusion
    • Abusive conduct
    • Repeated rules violations
    • Conduct that materially harms league integrity

What happens to a departing team

    • The franchise remains in the league
    • The roster, picks, FAAB, and payment status stay with the franchise
    • The commissioner controls the replacement process

Managers do not have the right to privately sell or assign their team to a replacement owner without commissioner approval.

    Prepaid dues and orphans

Any locked prepaid dues stay with the franchise, not the departing manager. Those funds may be used to help recruit a replacement owner.

    Replacement incentives

    • The replacement owner may inherit the roster as-is
    • All picks and obligations stay as-is
    • Any prepaid future dues attached to the team stay with the franchise

There is no guarantee of any additional orphan discount beyond what is already attached to the franchise.

    Temporary orphan management

If a franchise becomes vacant during the season, the commissioner may freeze trading for that team, set a good-faith legal lineup to preserve league integrity, and continue searching for a replacement owner.

A vacant team will not be used for strategic trading.

    14) Anti-tanking and lineup integrity policy

    Core principle

Dynasty X allows rebuilding. Dynasty X does not allow bad-faith lineup tanking. These are different.

    What is allowed

    • Rebuild
    • Trade veterans for picks
    • Prioritize youth
    • Make long-term roster decisions
    • Manage risk however you choose within the rules

    What is not allowed

    • Intentionally leave open starting spots
    • Start players who are out, inactive, suspended, or on bye when legal alternatives exist
    • Bench clearly superior active options solely to manipulate weekly results in bad faith
    • Abuse taxi or IR rules to distort competition
    • Stop setting lineups because you are out of contention

Because Dynasty X awards both playoff spots and a regular-season points prize, lineup integrity matters for the full season.

    Max PF interaction

The league uses Max PF for non-playoff rookie order specifically to reduce incentives for lineup tanking. Managers are free to build weak rosters if they choose, but they must still submit real lineups.

    Commissioner enforcement

If a manager sets or leaves an obviously non-competitive lineup, the commissioner may require a correction before kickoff or, if the manager is nonresponsive, substitute the highest-projected reasonable legal option from that roster.

This is an integrity tool, not a start/sit service. The commissioner will not police ordinary good-faith lineup judgment between reasonable active choices.

    Penalties

    1. Warning
    2. $25 FAAB penalty
    3. Additional $50 FAAB penalty and/or temporary trade freeze
    4. Removal from the league

The commissioner may skip steps for egregious or repeated misconduct.

    15) Conduct and activity expectations

Dynasty X is built for active, serious players.

    Managers are expected to

    • Stay reasonably responsive
    • Pay on time
    • Set legal lineups
    • Monitor league announcements
    • Act in good faith

    Unacceptable conduct includes

    • Collusion
    • Abuse or harassment
    • Repeated ghosting
    • Bad-faith rule manipulation
    • Conduct that damages the league’s ability to operate cleanly

The commissioner may remove a manager whose behavior makes the league materially harder to run.

    16) Commissioner authority

    The commissioner’s job

    • Maintain clarity
    • Protect league integrity
    • Enforce payment discipline
    • Make timely rulings
    • Apply consistent enforcement

    Scope of authority

    • Interpret this constitution in good faith
    • Correct obvious administrative errors
    • Enforce payment and lineup rules
    • Replace managers when necessary
    • Pause league activity for platform or integrity issues
    • Publish calendars, deadlines, and procedures consistent with this constitution

    Limits on authority

The commissioner may not make hidden rules.

The commissioner may not make material in-season changes to scoring, payouts, lineup structure, or rookie-order principles after the season has begun, except to correct an obvious written or platform error.

    Commissioner-run product model

Dynasty X is not governed by league vote.

Material future-season changes may be made by the commissioner in the offseason, but they must be announced before the next applicable payment deadline. That keeps the league stable, standardized, and transparent.

    17) Rule changes and future seasons

    In-season rule stability

Once a league year begins, material competitive rules for that season are locked.

    Offseason changes

Any material future-season changes will be made in the offseason only, announced clearly, and applied prospectively, not retroactively.

Administrative clarifications that do not materially change league economics or competitive structure may be made whenever needed.

    18) Acceptance of rules

By joining Dynasty X, paying dues, remaining in the league, making trades, or participating in the startup or rookie draft, each manager agrees to this constitution and all posted Dynasty X payment and operating policies.

    Participation means acceptance.

    • When you designate a player as your keeper, you forfeit a specific draft round pick in exchange
    • Each season you keep the same player, the cost moves up one round
    • This escalation continues until the player reaches a 1st-round cost
    • Once a player reaches a 1st-round cost, he cannot be kept the following season and must return to the draft pool
First-round hard stop: if a player costs you a 1st-round pick in a given season, that player cannot be kept again the next year. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    Keeper Progression Examples

    Mid-Rounder Progression

    • 2025: Player costs a 3rd-round pick
    • 2026: Same player now costs a 2nd-round pick
    • 2027: Same player now costs a 1st-round pick
    • 2028: Player is no longer keeper-eligible and must return to the draft pool

    First-Round Keeper Limit

    • If a player costs a 1st-round pick this season, he cannot be kept next season
    • You may still draft that player normally if available
    • You simply cannot designate him as a keeper again
    Keeper Trade Rules
    • Managers may trade their keeper in exchange for draft position
    • All keeper trades are final

    Required Keeper Replacement Rule

    • If a team receives a keeper via trade, that team must replace its originally selected keeper with the incoming player
    • The original keeper is immediately returned to the draft pool
    • The incoming player becomes the team’s only keeper
    • The team may not select another keeper later unless the chosen keeper is injured during the offseason and expected to miss the season

If a Team Trades Away Its Keeper

    • That team loses keeper rights entirely
    • That team cannot select or replace a keeper
    • That team enters the draft with no keeper
    Keeper Selection Timeline & Process
    • Keepers will be selected prior to the end of the season (Week 17)
    • This replaces the offseason keeper declaration process used in 2025
    • Keeper decisions must be made before fantasy playoffs conclude

    How Keeper Trades Are Initiated

    • Keeper-for-draft-position discussions should begin with direct manager-to-manager communication
    • Trade talks should be initiated via Facebook Direct Messages
    • Once terms are agreed upon, full trade details must be sent to the commissioner for documentation
    • No trade is official until it is confirmed and logged by the commissioner

    Fair Play & Undroppable List

    Throwing Games

    • Throwing games by submitting a lineup full of players that would not normally be started will not be tolerated
    • Commissioner action, including possible removal from the league, may be taken

    Yahoo Can't Cut List

    • Gridiron Gold uses the Yahoo Can't Cut List
    • This is designed to keep teams from dumping elite players throughout the season
    • This helps preserve competitive balance and fair play

    Why the Undroppable List Exists

    • Protects star players from being intentionally or accidentally dropped
    • Prevents collusion and roster manipulation
    • Encourages strategic decision-making and roster discipline
    • Reduces excessive roster churning

    Long-Term Player Value

    • The rule emphasizes long-term player value and strategic thinking
    • Managers are encouraged to consider value beyond immediate performance
    • This supports a more balanced and thoughtful league environment
