These caps are designed to protect league balance and prevent owners from hoarding the specialty positions.

    8. Team QB Format

Field Generals uses a Team QB system instead of an individual quarterback system.

A Team QB slot is tied to an NFL team, not just one player. Any eligible quarterback production generated by that NFL team counts toward that Team QB slot according to league scoring settings.

If the starting quarterback leaves the game and a backup enters, the backup’s production continues to count toward that same Team QB slot.

This format is intentional. It reduces random injury volatility and shifts more emphasis toward offensive environment, team structure, and smart roster planning.

    9. Head Coach Position

Each team starts 1 Head Coach.

    • Team Win: +5
    • Tie: +2
    • Loss: 0

No other Head Coach scoring settings apply unless publicly announced before the season begins.

    10. Scoring

Field Generals uses PPR scoring with a strong quarterback emphasis.

    • Passing Touchdowns: 6 points
    • 300+ passing yards: +3
    • 400+ passing yards: +5

Only Team QB slots are eligible for the passing yard bonuses.

No additional Team QB or Head Coach scoring rules apply beyond what is listed here and what is shown in ESPN league settings.

    12. Trades

Trades are allowed in Field Generals.

All trades are subject to league vote.

League members are expected to use the voting process responsibly and in good faith. Trades should be judged on league integrity, not based on whether another owner made a move you personally would not make.

    • Leaving inactive players in the starting lineup

Because Field Generals is built around strategy and active participation, repeated lineup neglect may result in commissioner action.

    15. Inactivity, Abandonment, and Removal

An owner may be removed for:

    • Repeated inactivity
    • Abandonment
